Enhancing Emotional freedom for students

When we look back at our son’s life. We have the woulda, coulda, shoulda’s. After some time and some healing, we started to look at the gaps. Places where if he had had support things may have been different.

Fitting in at school was always a challenge for him. He was brilliant and graduated with a Presidential Scholarship to the University of Southern Utah. Physically(He was a football star at our local high school), but emotionally he had a hard time connecting with his peers. Shortly after his passing, we started to think of unique ways students could receive support struggling emotionally while in school. There were attempts and a couple of suicides that year in our high school, and one of our good friends and local high school teacher was asked to carry the task of creating a wellness class for sophomores coming into high school.

So that got us thinking. Let’s help high schools develop wellness rooms, curriculum, and provide tools ( weighted blankets, happy lights, tappers etc….). If you don’t have resources to create places for students to address anxiety, bouts of depression with skills-building and emotional regulation practices we are here to help.
